Facilities
As an interdisciplinary program, Information Science activities take place at many Cornell locations. The Information Science Building is in College Town, Ithaca, at 301 College Avenue, as shown on the map. In addition to the Information Science administration, this building is the home to several research groups including the Human-Computer Interaction group, digital libraries research, culturally embedded computing group and the ePrint arXiv. AddressCornell Information Science telephone: 607-255-5925 The walking time from Olin Library is about 10 minutes. From the main Cornell campus, take Central Avenue south across Cascadilla Creek. Pass the Performing Arts Center, where the name changes to College Avenue, and cross Dryden Avenue. The Information Science building is two buildings down from the Fire Station. DrivingFrom downtown Ithaca (five minutes). Take East State Street (Route 79); turn left on Route 366; turn left on College Avenue. From Ithaca Airport (ten minutes). Take Warren Road (Route 121) until it ends. Turn left on Forest Home Drive. Go straight on Caldwell Road when Forest Home Drive turns off left. At the traffic lights, turn right onto 366. Turn right on to College Avenue. There are a few visitor parking spaces at the building. Call in advance to make arrangements and collect a permit from the reception desk.
