Several major innovative programs in electronic publishing are based at Cornell and work closely with the Information Science program.

Physics ePrint arXiv

The ePrint arXiv is the central location where research papers in physics and related sciences are posted before submission to journals and other publications. It is housed at the Cornell University Library, with its program of research and development within Information Science [arXiv].

Legal Information Institute

The Legal Information Institute is the premier open access source of legal information. It is the most linked to web resource in the field of law. It is a based at the Cornell Law School. [Legal Information Institute].

The Laboratory of Ornithology: Macaulay Library

The Laboratory of Ornithology is a nonprofit membership institution whose mission is to interpret and conserve the earth's biological diversity through research, education, and citizen science focused on birds. The Macaulay Library is the world's largest open repository of recordings of animal behavior and natural history [Macaulay Library]

Cornell University Library

Cornell University Library has a broad range of digital initiatives. It was a pioneer in digital preservation and conversion, and supports numerous electronic publishing programs [Cornell University Library].
