Hamish Tennent is a Visiting Researcher and Professor in the Information Science department at Cornell University.  Previously he has worked at companies such as Stanford and Facebook and is currently researching robotics and group dynamics at Cornell in Ithaca, New York. Working at the intersection of autonomous cars, robotics and interaction design his work explores how emerging technology can be designed to be less intrusive and more intuitive. His work looks to use design to shape how new technologies are researched before being brought into the mass market. He has an MFA in interaction design from California College of the Arts and a BDes in Industrial Design from Massey University in New Zealand.
